Support for legal education

Financial assistance to Women Law Graduates

Rs.1000/- p.m. is given for a period of 4 years.

In addition to this, Rs. 500/- is given for purchase of essential books pertaining to law and Rs.460/- is given to register their names in bar council.

Women law graduates whose income does not exceed Rs 40,000 p.a

Working Women’s Hostels

Scheme of Assistance for construction/ expansion of hostel building for Working Women (GOI)

Assistance will be given to registered voluntary organizations for

a) 50% of the cost of land ,75% of the cost of construction of building by GoI and 12.5% by GoK


c) 50% of the cost for purchase of ready constructed building

Income of working women should not exceed Rs. 16,000/- p.m. in A-Class cities and Rs.15,000/- p.m. in other places

Women should leave the hostel within a period of 6 months of crossing this income ceiling

15% of seats for SC and 7.5% for ST in the hostel are reserved
