Citizens' responsibilities.

  • To help the Directorate in creating awareness about the various schemes and programmes of the DWCD for the general public.
  • To join hands with the government, in its fight against atrocities on women and children and ensure that any infringement of the law is brought to notice of the authorities.
  • To rehabilitate downtrodden and abused women, and children in distress, through self motivated efforts, and bring them into the mainstream of society.
  • To prevent the misuse of the Directorate schemes and programmes by un-deserving people
  • To join hands with the government to ensure that the benefits reach the right beneficiaries in time without intervention of middlemen
  • To prevent anti social forces from entering the scene at various stages.
  • To inform the Director/ higher officer in writing, if any employee asks for bribes.
  • To provide feedback, and complaints if necessary, to effect improvement in service delivery

Information about the dept's programmes for the benefit of the public

  • Handbooks, annual reports, training and pamphlets pertaining to the various programmes of the department have been prepared at the state headquarters, which can be viewed during working hours.
  • To promote the programmes of the department awareness camps, workshops, satellite based programs and publicity advertisements, through Akashavani (AIR- All India Radio), Newspapers and Doordarshan are being issued.
  • The details about the various programs can be obtained from office of the child development project officers of the respective taluks and deputy directors of districts.
