Weighing and preparation / updation growth chart

Children between 3 and 6 years are to be weighed once a quarter and growth chart is to be updated. Counselling is done if required

Supplementary Nutrition Programme

ICDS

To promote nutritional status of children, SNP provision is made for 300 days in a year for all children as per the following norms

Rs. 4 per beneficiary per day (Rs. 6.00 for severely malnourished)

500 calories per beneficiary per day (800 cal for severely malnourished)

12-15 grams of proteins per beneficiary per day (20-25g for severely malnourished)

Hot Cooked food is to be served to 3-6 yr olds twice a day at 10 AM and 1 PM

For 3 – 6years Amylase Rich Energy food (AREF) is given for 2 days and rice based local food for 4 days.

Rs. 750/- per year is provided to severely malnourished children to meet the medical expenses towards nutrition and medicines etc. in order to improve their health

Pre-school Education

ICDS

To lay foundation for physical, social and psychological development, non-formal, pre-school education is provided by the AWW at the AWC.

Schedule of delivery of PSE is to be in line with syllabus of Chili-Pili booklets

Weekly timetable (for the entire year – 44 weeks) covering different topics prepared by department and Anganwadi Worker (AWW) must follow the timetable

PSE is to be conducted for about 2 hours every working day at the AWC

Annual grant of Rs. 1000 per AWC for purchase of Pre-School Education kits / material
